Why BigFoot?

People often ask me about our name: “What does BigFoot have to do with Family Coaching?” It is a fair question.

The name has personal meaning to me. It comes from a previous business that I operated with my wife, and we were required to learn how to figure things out on our own. While we did learn and grow from that experience, it wasn’t always easy —and looking back, I know how much it would have helped to have someone guiding and supporting us along the way.

That’s what BigFoot represents. BigFoot may navigate life alone, but you don’t have to.

Too many people believe they have to navigate life—and family challenges—on their own, unsure of where to turn or how to move forward. This often leads to them feeling “stuck”. This is a reminder that you don’t have to do it alone. You can have support. You can have guidance. You can move forward with confidence.

And yes, BigFoot is also about the iconic footprint!

My hope is to help you create a positive, lasting footprint in your family’s future; one built on courage, growth, and connection. I am especially passionate about helping build and restore strong marriages—because those relationships shape the path for everything that follows. When you learn to create strong, connected relationships, you create a legacy by placing your own footprints for your children to follow.

My Style:

I focus on facts. While I honor your feelings and unique experiences, the counsel you will receive from me will be rooted in research, scriptural wisdom, and logical outcomes.

I adapt to your needs. I can be a reflective guide, listening deeply to help you uncover your own solutions, but I am also ready to be a highly active coach—providing the educational facts and direct encouragement needed to spark change. I can be very direct, but still compassionate. My focus is always on what is mutually beneficial for the relationship, rather than simply validating one side over the other.

I understand that my style isn’t for everyone, but it does work for those ready to embrace humility and accountability. If you are willing to look at your own contribution to the conflict, we can build a path to reconnection together.
